🧠 Brain Awareness Month | 22 July 2026

This July, the World Federation of Neurology brings forward a powerful message: “Brain Health: Access for All.”

Behind this theme are real lives and real stories. Today, more than 3.4 billion people worldwide live with neurological conditions – making brain disorders the leading cause of disability globally. That’s not just a statistic; it represents individuals, families and communities navigating daily challenges, often without the care and support they need.

Brain health is not a privilege – it’s a fundamental part of how we think, feel, connect and live. Yet, for millions, access to neurological care, early diagnosis, and effective treatment remains out of reach.

This month is a reminder – and a responsibility -nfor all of us:
✅ To raise awareness about neurological health
✅ To advocate for equitable access to care
✅ To support education, prevention, and innovation
Because everyone, everywhere, deserves the opportunity to live with a healthy brain.

🤝 In collaboration with Brainmatters_nl, I’m grateful to contribute to this important conversation – sharing perspectives on living with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and how nurturing brain health can help preserve cognitive function and improve quality of life.
